What is a Google screen?

Google call screen Google Assistant to answer incoming calls, talk to the caller, and provide a copy of what the caller says.

Automated calls are annoying. You have to guess each call from a number that is not in the contacts, and you know that accepting a scammer's call will only lead to more automated calls.

Can Google answer my phone?

Enter the Android feature called Google screen. Instead of taking the call yourself, Google Assistant can answer it for you, talk to the person and provide you with a copy in real time. You can then decide whether to take over the call or not.

Although the call screen debuted on Google's own Pixel phones, Google said it's also available on some Motorola and Nokia devices.

But Motorola announced in early 2019 that the Moto G7 and Moto One group would acquire it.
When pixel 4 launched in October. 2019, Google announced that the call screen will automatically scan your calls without having to do anything. It's a great feature and should be available on every phone.

Incoming call screen with just one click

Every time your phone rings, you will see the standard incoming call interface, but with a new screen call button. You do not need to enable the feature, it is turned on by default. Press the button to instantly answer the call and have Google Assistant start talking to the caller.

Google Assistant tells the caller that you are using the screening service, one that will provide you with a copy of the call, and asks the person to state the reason for the call.

Once the caller starts talking, the response text will appear on your phone screen in real time.
The text is presented as a text message conversation, complete with pre-filled options along the bottom of the screen.

If you want to ask the caller for more information or say you can not answer the phone right now, just click on one of the options and Google Assistant will continue talking on your behalf.

In addition to reading responses, you can choose to listen to the caller by holding the phone to your ear or by pressing the volume button on the side of your phone to activate the speaker.

If the call is Android or spam, you can report it and Google Assistant will end the call.
If it's someone you want to talk to, press the green button and start talking.
